Matt Harrell brings a wealth of industry experience to Franklin Street Insurance Services. As Managing Director, he works with property owners from across the country designing creative program structures specific to their individual portfolio. Mr. Harrell runs a team of dedicated insurance professionals handling more than 30,000 apartment units and 10,000,000 square feet in retail, office and industrial space.
In addition to his work within Franklin Street, Mr. Harrell serves on the National Alliance Education Committee for the Florida Association of Insurance Agents (FAIA). He also has been retained by law firms as an expert consultant on large Master Insurance Policies as well as contributed to many industry publications.
Prior to joining Franklin Street, Mr. Harrell served as a Vice President on the Real Estate Practice team for the Willis Group – the world’s third largest insurance broker – where he managed a group of clients who owned more than 30 million square feet of real estate. He also has worked for the world’s largest insurance broker, Marsh and McLennan based in New York.
Mr. Harrell has received several Franklin Street awards including 2012 Top Earner and Sales Achievement Award.
He graduated Cum Laude from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management Insurance and Finance. He is licensed in 45 states and has earned the distinguished Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
